Mental Health Aspects

Some high conflict cases, may require a need for mental health experts who are human and come equipped with their own bias.  They all consult on your case and form a united front, this often happens without specific individuals even reading official reports and parroting each other (objectionable in court as hearsay).  Court appointed mental health professionals have to adhere to the Texas Family Code and rules & guidelines set forth by their governing body, most often a licensing board.
Additional videos are listed that represent updated industry standards about neuroplasticity and improving personal behavior. The resulting loyalty conflict that engulfs children is the result of the high conflict, generally not the actions of another parent.

Updated understanding of the brain

Dr. Laura Boyd describes how Neuroplasticity has replaced  outdated theories being industry standards in court cases, some of these theories are 10/25 years old

Bias? What bias

Bias exists on all levels, within all people.  In fact Dialectical Behavioral Therapy even goes to point out that people with power over you, do not need to agree with your view generally will not listen  to you. It's not always on purpose and once confirmation bias takes a hold of people it's difficult to change their minds (over time, reinforcement will strengthen their position)

How did they miss the abuse?

Priming, implanting false memory, hindsight bias, are all aspects of perception, for the article from Psychology Today

Centers for Disease Control Study

The Adverse Childhood Experiences study by the Centers for Disease Control

Childhood experiences, both positive and negative, have a tremendous impact on future violence victimization and perpetration, and lifelong health and opportunity. As such, early experiences are an important public health issue. Much of the foundational research in this area has been referred to as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).  Chronic Health Conditions, low life potential & early death are all attributed to ACE's, as the actual number of these incidents increases so does the risk for these outcomes.
